Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Monday that both the fundamentalists and the reformers are loyal to the Constitution and are working for the progress of the country.

Speaking to students and teachers of universities in Kerman province, the Supreme Leader said that both the conservative and the reform camps are the components of the Islamic Republic and those loyal to the Constitution from the two camps are "two wings for flying upward to progress."

According to IRNA, he said that imitation of western political schools has proved to be a failure for the international community. "The West has the record of Fascism, Communism and liberalism which have caused enormous crimes to humanity in the past two centuries," he was quoted as saying.

"The capitalists have forged dominance over the mass media and the press and there is no real democracy in the Western states proving that the Western models of democracy could not work," the Supreme Leader said.
