The Iranian judiciary chief, Ayatollah Mahmoud Shahroudi, rejected Sunday the reports by the International Amnesty, saying they had been publicized under the influence of powerful global lobbies, reported Iran News Agency (IRNA).
Shahroudi said that Iran's judiciary is suffering from numerous deficiencies, and stressed the need to carry out in-depth reforms in the organization.
He said that the judiciary was working on different points, when any case is investigated.
"Political motives behind the case, the authority masterminding the murders, and whether the killings were organized for special purposes of their perpetrators or of their masterminds behind the political scene are all taken into consideration when a case is investigated."
Amnesty's reports in general are baseless and harm Iran's image, said the official - Albawaba.com
