ALBAWABA- The Iranian General Staff has published its second report on the investigation into the helicopter crash that resulted in the death of President Ebrahim Raisi. The findings confirmed that no sabotage, explosion, communication defects, or electronic warfare were involved in the incident. 

The General Staff also noted that the number of passengers and the weight on board were within established standards.

The crash occurred on May 20, 2024, while President Raisi and other officials returned from Azerbaijan after inaugurating a joint project. The helicopter went down in a mountainous and forested area of Iran amid poor weather conditions.

President Raisi, aged 63, was a prominent conservative and hardline figure in Iranian politics. Having served nearly three years as president, he was anticipated to run for re-election next year. 

The investigation will continue, with all available information being analyzed until the final cause of the crash is determined.
