Iran and Turkey signed on Thursday in Tehran a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for implementation of Tehran-Ankara agreements previously concluded as well as new ones on various fields, reported the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).

The MoU was signed by Iranian Interior Minister Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Abdolvahed Mousavi Lari and his visiting Turkish counterpart Saadettin Tantan.

The MoU calls for “elimination of harassment against Iranian nationals crossing the Iranian-Turkish border, increased cooperation to boost border security and anti-terrorism efforts, as well as strengthening of common border markets.”
