Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on Tuesday discussed over the phone Tehran's cooperation with UN and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as well as the upcoming visit to Tehran by IAEA chief, Mohamed ElBaradei.
"Tehran is ready to listen to ElBaradei's views, and we hope that during the debates [that he will have] Iran's concerns and standpoints are also taken into consideration," Kharrazi told Annan. "This is because both we should struggle to build mutual trust".
The Iranian foreign minister further expressed hope that ElBaradei's visit will help promote Iran-IAEA cooperation, IRNA reported. The IAEA chief is expected to visit Tehran on Wednesday.
