A UN atomic agency and Iran will be meeting in Tehran on March 9, the agency told AFP on Wednesday, to have discussions on the country's plans regarding its nuclear power.

The talks will be led by the International Atomic Energy Agency's chief inspector in efforts to investigate the nuclear program. The IAEA regularly conducts inspections into nuclear activity, but AFP said the agency also wants Tehran to answer previous allegations on making atomic weapons.

Iran has rejected the allegations and insisted its intentions with the nuclear program are peaceful. Last time the two entities met was in November for a technical meeting, according to AFP.

The meeting comes while a deal among nations in the P5+1 is still in the process of being struck with Iran.
