Iranian authorities close daily

Managing Editor of Ashti (Reconciliation) Daily in Iran, Borhan Zareh Tan Lahoni, said on Thursday that the provincial Public Court has called for temporary closure of the daily. Speaking to IRNA, he said that the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has also called for a temporary ban on the daily.

The bilingual daily is published in Kurdi and Farsi languages for the Kurdish speaking region. The reason for the closure was not given by the Iranian authorities.
