A local court of common pleas in the Zanjan
Province northwestern of Iran has closed down a weekly on charges of "sowing the seeds of discord among people by publishing divisive articles," a court statement said, cited by the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).
It said that Amin-e Zanjan has been temporarily suspended from publication for publishing news to provoke riots in the city.
"It seems that the director and other staff members are charged with disrupting the security and tranquility," the statement said.
