ALBAWABA - Iran's Atomic Energy Organization on Sunday said the United States attacked an under-construction nuclear power plant in the country's southwest.
This comes amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington for the past eight days after the U.S. blamed Iran for attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz and carried out airstrikes targeting Tehran.
In response, the Iranian army carried out strikes against U.S. military assets in the Middle East.
The organisation announced in a statement that the U.S. army "in an aggressive and brutal act contrary to international law, attacked the under-construction Darkhovin nuclear power plant... with a number of projectiles on Sunday," according to Iranian state TV.
