ALBAWABA - Emirati authorities revealed that they intercepted an Iranian drone, but debris from the drone caused a fire at an oil industry zone in Fujairah on Tuesday.

The UAE authorities added that the fire was contained after a drone debris interception, adding that the incident didn't cause any injuries.

"Relevant authorities in the Emirate of Fujairah responded to a fire that broke out this morning in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ), resulting from falling debris following the successful interception of a drone by air defence systems," the Fujairah Media Office revealed in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement also read, "No injuries were reported, the fire was brought under control, and normal operations in the area have resumed. The public is urged to obtain information from official state sources and to avoid circulating rumors or unverified information."
