Syrian President Bashar al-Assad sent on Saturday a congratulatory cable to President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on occasion of being reelected for a second constitutional term. According to SANA news agency, al-Assad expressed confidence in the continuation of bolstering friendship between the peoples of the two countries and strengthening relations and joint cooperation between Syria and Iran.
