Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi headed for Saudi Arabia on Saturday for talks with Saudi officials on enhancing bilateral ties, reported the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).
He is expected to discuss with his Saudi counterpart Prince Saud Al Faisal and other Saudi officials “ways of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries as well as Tehran-Riyadh cooperation on international issues.”
Kharrazi will also discuss regional developments, especially the Palestinian issue and Muslim assistance to the Palestinian people, aid the agency.
The visit is the first by a senior Iranian official since the two countries signed last month a security pact in Tehran to fight drug trafficking and terrorism – Albawaba.com
