ALBAWABA - Israeli drone strikes on Iran's 8th Main Jet Air Base and Isfahan Airport were discussed by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a recent interview with the New York-based NBC News program.

In response to earlier provocations, Iran launched a retaliatory strike on April 13, which Abdollahian used to underscore Iran's position of trying to prevent conflict and tension in the area.

Addressing whether Iran would respond to Israel's actions, Abdullahiyan stated, "If Israel seeks a new adventure against Iran, we will respond with a more devastating and powerful retaliation than the previous attack."

He explained that the action against Israel on April 13 was limited to military bases that were purportedly involved in an attack on the Iranian consulate, while also characterizing it as targeted and appropriate.

Abdollahian also commented on the recent reports of drones spotted over Isfahan, stating, "Last night's events in Isfahan were not an attack; most likely, it was the interception of several mini drones resembling toys that were trying to conduct espionage by taking images. However, if Israel ventures into aggression against us, we will respond with a harsher and more destructive response."

Reiterating that there was no attack on the military airbase in Isfahan, Abdollahian wrote off the drone incident as unimportant and said no other country should have informed Iran about it beforehand.
