Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi on Friday said "all-out US support for Israel" has left "no hope" for peace in the Middle East conflict, IRNA news agency reported.

"There is no hope for an end to the Zionist regime's violence because of the all-out US support for Israel," Kharazi said during a phone conversation with his Canadian counterpart Bill Graham.

"As long as Palestinian territory is occupied and as long as the Palestinian refugees' right to return to their country is not respected, there is no bright perspective for regional peace," he conveyed.

Graham, on his part, stressed the need to "end the twisted Middle East situation".

In addition, they discussed the forthcoming G-8 summit, which Canada chairs this year, and Kharazi expressed hope that the world's eight most industrialized nations would highlight the need for a "joint struggle against terrorism under the auspices of the United Nations." (Albawaba.com)
