Iran's Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said in his address Friday at International Palestine Conference, "The occupying regime of Palestine commits crimes openly and quite proudly in occupied territories."
Khamenei said that occupation of the Holy Qods is the gravest problem facing the Islamic world today, asking the guests of the conference to seek a way to solve this problem. "The Islamic awakening, that is main characteristic of the contemporary era, is best observed in Palestine today," added the Supreme Leader.
According to IRNA, Ayatollah Khamenei said that throughout the past sixty years that has passed since the establishment of the Zionist regime the Palestinians have undergone various tests, ranging from homelessness, living as refugees, destruction of their houses, being massacred, expecting assistance of international bodies, and getting engages in loss-loss talks.
The Supreme Leader said that the result of all those developments is the coming into the scene of the new Palestinian generation that is determined to liberate their motherland. "The Jihadi groups emerged in Palestine and Lebanon and the culture of Jihad and martyrdom was revived as the power of nations in the region as a decisive and endless source," added the Supreme Leader.
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to repeated retreats of the enemy, such as abandoning its arrogant motto "From Nile to Euphrates", that is today coupled with setbacks of its staunch supporter, the United States, that is "more hated in the region and the world than ever before."
The Palestinians' jihad is a part of the Jihad of the entire Islamic Ummah today and those that warn the Muslims of the power of the enemy are mistaken, since the cost of remaining silent would be heavier than the cost of brave confrontation with the enemy, aid Ayatollah Khamenei.
"It is true that Palestine is now the scene of the worst possible tragedy and murder against Palestinians. Let's imagine Palestine in 1940s. It was a territory in the heart of Arab nations. It was a weak state and its neighbors were at the service of colonialists. They got the territory from its real owners and established a puppet regime backed by the Zionists from the US. The occupying regime did not pay attention to numerous resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and invaded Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon."
"Now the Zionist regime impudently speaks about murder and assassination of Palestinians, and notorious terrorists come to power there one after the other, with the criminal of Sabra and Shatila was the last one to take power in the occupying regime," the Supreme Leader said.
