Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei stressed on Saturday morning that Palestine should be saved by the Palestinian nation. He made the remark in his sermons at the special Eid prayers at Tehran Musalla (grand prayers ground).

According to IRNA, the Iranian leader also urged "Palestinian brethren not to stand against each other".

He also urged Arab nations to boycott a Middle East peace meeting in the United States. "The United States took the initiative for this meeting to save the Zionist regime (Israel), which received a beating at the hands of Hizbullah."

"Every conference that has been organized in the name of peace has harmed the Palestinians," he said. "As the Palestinians themselves are not participating in this conference, how can the others (Arab states) do so," he asked.
