The Iranian parliament voted to approve legislation to implement the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the agreement previously reached between Iran and the P5+1.
The parliament on Tuesday voted to approve the details of the single-urgency motion that allows the administration to voluntarily implement its July 14 nuclear agreement with the P5+1 group of countries under certain conditions.
The motion secured 161 yes votes, 59 no votes, and 13 abstentions. A total of 250 lawmakers were present at the legislature at the time of the voting.
The outlines of the motion had been approved in the Iranian parliament on Monday.
