ALBAWABA - Reports from the Tasnim News Agency indicate that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy has taken control of a cargo ship in the Persian Gulf, alleging its ties to Israel.

The vessel, known as "MSC Aries," is purportedly owned by Israeli entrepreneur Eyal Ofel, who is affiliated with the London-based company "Zodiac Maritime."

Israeli military sources, speaking through the X Platform, have suggested that the targeted ship, en route from the United Arab Emirates to India, likely has Israeli connections.

Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari issued a stern warning regarding the escalating situation.

Hagari emphasized that Iran would face the repercussions of further escalation, asserting that Israel remains on high alert. He underscored Israel's readiness to respond to any potential attacks from Iran.

The incident comes as tensions between the two nations continue to mount, with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy claiming control of the vessel, identified as the "MSC Aries," reportedly owned by Israeli businessman Eyal Ofel of Zodiac Maritime based in London.
