An Iranian woman was hanged in public in the southwestern city of Kouhdasht on Wednesday for murdering an elderly woman four years ago, reported the official Iranian news agency, IRNA.
Parvin Mirzaei, 35, murdered the 65-year-old lady whom she suspected "knew about her decision to flee from her home," the agency said.
She fled to Nahavand in western Iran afterwards, but was arrested and later sentenced to die.
