Baghdad on Friday accused the UN sanctions committee of blocking exports of Iraqi crude after refusing Iraq's proposal for a new pricing program for December.
A "refusal by oil customers to lift Iraqi crude is because of the rejection by the UN sanctions committee (of the price formula), and the US and British representatives on the committee are responsible for that," the Iraqi oil ministry said in a statement.
The statement did not confirm or deny claims by a spokeswoman for Turkey's state oil and gas company, Botas, that Iraq had halted its oil shipments through the Turkish port of Ceyhan late Thursday -- BAGHDAD (AFP)
