A wave of attacks across Iraq killed eight people on Sunday, according to police officials.
Police sources who spoke to the Associated Press said Sunday's deadliest attack hit the southern city of Diwaniyah, where back-to-back car bombs killed three people and wounded 13 near a bus station.
In the north of the country, in the city of Samarra, a bomb targeting a funeral killed two people and injured five others. The mourners were paying their respects for 17 civilians killed in a car bomb in the city on Saturday, AP reported.
Elsewhere in Iraq, a round of mortar shells in the town Madain killed three and wounded nine others, whilst a car bomb hit the southern town of Mahmoudiyah, according to AP.
Medical officials who spoke to AP confirmed the causalities.
