A car bomb killed 12 people and injured 14 others in Baghdad on Sunday, Iraqi police said. According to Reuters, police said the parked vehicle went off on a commercial street in the capital.
Meanwhile, the U.S. army said an American soldier had died in a non-combat incident in Iraq. According to the AP, the military conveyed the soldier died and another one was injured Saturday during a road accident north of Baghdad.
It is the first reported death of an American soldier in August. The military announced it in a statement on Sunday.
