Speaker of the Iraqi National Assembly, Dr. Sadoun Hammadi has sent letters to members of the United States Senate, who called for not taking a hasty military action against Iraq as well as the necessity for the Senate to discuss the matter comprehensively before taking any decision to use force.
According to the Iraq news agency, Dr. Hammadi’s letter was attached to a previous one, addressed to the U.S. Congress, in which he had invited a delegation accompanied by experts in dismantling weapons of mass destruction, to visit Iraq, in order to inspect “above and beneath the ground” for a period of three weeks.
He affirmed that the Iraqi government would offer all needed facilities, INA added. (Albawaba.com)
