In line with Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's directives, a convoy, consisting of 40 trucks of fertilizers is on its way to Palestine.

In a press statement, the head of the Peasant’s Union, Hadi Jethom Faris said the convoy is an expression of the endless support, which Baghdad extends to the Palestinian uprising, especially to Palestinian peasants, INA news agency reported Tuesday.

On his part, head of the Palestinian Peasant’s Union praised the Iraqi leader’s generous gesture, stressing that the agricultural sector in Palestine was severely damaged due to the Zionist entity's oppressive measures and the destruction of the agricultural infrastructure, the agency added.
