Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz received on Wednesday Secretary General of the Romanian Labor Party Aion Kristian Nicole.
In the course of the meeting, they reviewed means of enhancing relations between the Arab Baa’th Socialist Party (ABSP) and the Romanian Labor Party. They also expressed the two countries’ keenness to develop cooperation between them.
The Romanian visitor reviewed actions taken by the International Committee for Iraqi-Romanian cooperation on all levels of Romanian people in many provinces to support Baghdad in facing American threats, INA reported.
Aziz, for his part, expressed the ABSP’s readiness to work together in order to face “imperialist schemes” that do not only target the Iraqi people, but the entire world as well.
