Iranians and Iraqis know how to separate between sports and politics.
Al Wefaq daily reports that the Iraqi football team captain, Sami Kazim, reached an agreement with the first division Iranian club, Sanat Naft Abadan. Kazim is slated to make his debut next week.
Abadan is now 13th of the 16 teams in the Iranian league, with 18 points during 19 games. In its latest match last Friday, it tied Pas Tehran 2-2. Abadan's striker, Mahdi al Nadawi, is the leading goal scorer in Iran with 10.
