Iraqi Justice Minister Shabib Lazim al-Maliki is retiring from his post and transferring to the presidential palace, state television said Sunday.
The Revolutionary Command Council decided to transfer the minister to the palace because he "had reached the legal age for retirement," the television quoted a presidential decree as saying. It did not give Maliki's age.
The RCC decided to appoint Mondher Ibrahim al-Shawi to replace him, it added -- BAGHDAD (AFP).
