Iraqi President Saddam Hussein received Sheikh Mohammed bin Fahd al-Thani, the head of protocol for the Emir of Qatar, on Sunday.
Saddam asked that Sheikh Mohammed convey his greetings to his father, Emir Sheikh Fahd, according to a state television report.
In the course of the meeting, which took place in the presence of Iraqi Foreign Minister Naji Sabri, Sheikh Mohammed handed Saddam Hussein a "present in consideration of his eminent personality." (Albawaba.com)
