Around 300 Iraqi workers protested Sunday outside the United Nations Development Program offices in Baghdad against US threats of military strikes.
The group handed in a message destined for UN Secretary General Kofi Annan in which they "denounce US-British threats against Iraq and the policy of double standards applied by Washington."
In addition, the workers carried banners condemning "Zionist criminal acts against the Palestinian people" and burnt Israeli and American flags, according to AFP.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, nearly 500 Iraqi Kurds demonstrated outside the same offices.
Washington has warned Baghdad of military action if UN weapons inspectors are not permitted back into the country to verify a suspected arsenal of weapons of mass destruction. (Albawaba.com)
