Two soldiers were killed and five others injured in a terror attack in Iraq's western Anbar province late Sunday, said an Iraqi military officer.
A bomb, placed to target security troops by the terror group ISIS on the western side of the city, exploded while troops were patrolling in the area, Army Colonel Walid al-Dulaimi said.
ISIS's presence has recently been purged from Iraq -- by Iraqi forces and a U.S.-led military coalition -- after the terrorist group overran much of the territory in northern and western Iraq in 2014.
