Islamic conference opens in Amman

An Islamic conference, attended by around 100 Muslim scholars from 34 different Muslim countries, was inaugurated in Amman Sunday.  

 

The participants of the three-day conference are to discuss a number of papers on the future of the Muslim world as well as the recent developments in Muslim countries. In addition, they will discuss the impact of the phenomenon of globalization on the Muslims in addition to challenges facing the Muslim world, according to the Saudi Press Agency.  

 

A press statement released in Jordan’s capital Sunday said the convening of the conference comes as part of the ongoing efforts to deal with the contemporary problems facing the Muslims, and to exchange viewpoints on matters of joint concern. (Albawaba.com)
