ALBAWABA- The Islamic Jihad Movement announced on Monday that Tareq Salmi, their spokesman in Gaza, was arrested by Israeli forces and subjected to torture.
In a statement released on Telegram, the movement condemned the arrest and subsequent torture of Salmi, holding Israel fully responsible for his safety.
Details regarding the circumstances of Salmi's arrest and the date of his detention were not provided by the movement.
Additionally, there has been no response from Israeli authorities regarding the incident.
Since October 7th of the previous year, Israel has been engaged in a destructive war on Gaza, resulting in tens of thousands of casualties, including many children and women, and indescribable damage to infrastructure.
These actions have prompted international scrutiny, with Tel Aviv facing charges of genocide before the International Court of Justice.
