Israel’s First Spy Chief dies at 91

Considered one of the founding fathers of Israel's intelligence community, former chief of Israel’s Intelligence Agency – the Mossad, and Shin Bet General Security Services, and the man responsible for the capture of Nazi fugitive Adolf Eichmann, died on Tuesday at the age of 91, following a lengthy illness, Israel media reported. 

 

In 1963, Harel quit as Mossad head after a dispute with Prime Minister Ben-Gurion over how to best deal with German scientists developing missiles for Egypt. (Albawaba.com)
