Israel's military deployed a rocket defense system to the north of the country on Sunday following reported Israeli airstrikes in neighboring Syria, reports say.
According to the Associated Press, the military said it moved two Iron Dome batteries - which protect against short-range rockets - as part of "ongoing situational assessments."
The move came just hours after Israel reportedly carried out an airstrike on Damascus, targeting a shipment of Iranian-made missiles bound for Lebanon's Hezbollah.
It was the second Israeli strike in three days.
Reports say that Lebanon is set to lodge a complaint to the United Nations Security Council over Israel's repeated violations of its airspace.
