Albawaba - Israel announced on Wednesday that it has killed Hamas chief financial officer Khader Al-Jamasi and his deputy, Mohammed Al-Harazin.
In a statement, the IDF said that it carried out a strike with Shin Bet forces on Sunday in northern Gaza, killing both men, who are said to be the top financial officers for Hamas, transferring amounts in the tens of millions of dollars to the group during the Gaza war.
“Through these funds, the Hamas terror organization continued to pay salaries to its terrorists to support the continued advancement and execution of 'terror attack' plans against IDF troops and Israeli citizens,” the Israeli army said in a statement.
Israel's escalation of attacks on the Gaza Strip began on October 7th 2023, after Hamas commenced an operation beyond the Gaza Strip into Israel, causing 1,200 casualties. Since then, Israel has never ceased bombing Gaza, killing 73,000 Palestinians and injuring 173,205, with 10,000 missing or buried under the rubble.
