Israeli forces on Tuesday detained two Palestinians during a sit-in protest at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound to protest the arrests of mosque employees, witnesses said.

Al-Aqsa Mosque guards on Tuesday organized a protest in front of the al-Qishla Israeli police station in the Old City to condemn the arrest of Radwan Amr, Fadi Bakir, Raed Zughayyar, Hussam Sedir, Majd Abdin and Ahmad Abu Alia, all employees of the Islamic Endowment.

The men were detained earlier on Tuesday during clashes at the compound when Israeli extremists raised an Israeli flagat the holy site.
