Israeli helicopters on Thursday dropped a bomb near the new building of Najah University in the West Bank city of Nablus. No injuries were reported, according to Palestinian sources.

The Jerusalem Post cited an Israeli army spokesman as saying it was “a training bomb” which was “unarmed and did not contain any explosive material.”

The spokesman said the army “has apologized to the Palestinian Authority and offered to provide any necessary assistance.”

A source at the Palestinian preventive security told that the Palestinians refused to cooperate with the Israelis in dismantling the rocket.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian child was shot in the head during clashes with Israeli sources at Beit Hanoun near Rafah. The child was identified as Karam Kurd.

The area witnessed two bomb attacks on Israeli patrols on Thursday, where a Palestinian was killed early morning.

The sources told that clashes were also underway in Qalqilya, Deir Ammar- Ramallah and Beit Tello.
