Israeli Labor Party Chairman Amir Peretz said following a Thursday morning meeting with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon that elections would take place between the end of February and end of March 2006.
According to Haaretz, the two met in Tel Aviv to discuss a date for the next elections. Peretz described the meeting with Sharon as "to the point," and said he told the prime minister that he would agree with any date he chose.
"I will let him decide the date within the period of the end of February and the end of March," Peretz told reporters after the meeting. "Any date he decides is okay with me."
