Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip are reported to have hit southern Israel with a mortar shell late Sunday, according to AFP. No casualties or damage have been reported.

Sunday's attack along with a projectile fired from Wednesday represents the first attack from the Hamas territory since August 18th. Sunday's violence also coincided with Israel's decision to uplift a six year ban preventing the import of construction materials into Gaza.
