ALBAWABA - Earlier today, Israeli troops stormed the West Bank camp of Jenin, causing mass destruction across the city. Later on, 6 six Palestinians were killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted a civilian gathering area in the Jenin Governorate.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health released a statement confirming the tragic occurrence. "Six Palestinians were martyred when the Israeli occupation bombed a gathering of citizens in Jenin".

Eyewitnesses told Anadolu News agency that the Israeli army bombed a public gathering in Martyrs' Square near the city of Jenin in the West Bank. The bombing resulted in many casualties, with human remains scattered at the scene, and the injured were taken to Jenin Governmental Hospital in the city.

The Ministry of Health named those who were killed in the Israeli airstrike, which included four siblings; Hazza', 27, Rami, 22, Ahmed, 24, and Alaa Najeh Darwish, 29, in addition to Razqallah Nabil Sleiman, 18, and Mohammad Yasser As'ous.

The storming of Jenin followed heavy confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli forces in the town of Zeita, located north of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.  Four Palestinians were injured by live ammunition and shrapnel later on Saturday.

The number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October 7 is at least 325, according to Health Ministry data. Tension across various parts of the West Bank has escalated simultaneously with the Israeli aggression against Gaza, which has killed at least 22,722 and injured some 58,166, most of them women and children.
