Israeli occupation troops killed a Palestinian gunman early Thursday on the outskirts of the West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian sources said.
The Palestinian sources identified the man as Hamid Ahmed Ali Abdullah, 42, a senior activists of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed group connected to Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement.
The Israeli cabinet approved a series of measures early Thursday morning meant to prevent “terror” attacks, Israel Radio reported. The meeting started at midnight Wednesday in order to discuss Israel's response to the recent wave of shooting attacks in the West Bank in which four Israelis have been killed over the last three days.
