An Israeli artillery tank shelling in Northern Gaza Strip killed a farmer, 60, Palestinian medical officials said. Two farmers whose tractor was hit were injured, the officials said. A security officer manning a roadblock in the area also was wounded. The shell landed after dark in Beit Lahiya, a town in northern Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, the Popular Resistance Committees threatened revenge after an Israel Air Force aircraft attacked a training camp used by Palestinian activists in Gaza City on Friday, killing at least five.
Hundreds of Palestinian fighters on Saturday led a funeral procession for the victims. The thousands of mourners called for revenge.
