The Israeli government rejects any international investigation into the violent clashes in the Palestinian territories that have left dozens dead, a spokesman for Prime Minister Ehud Barak said Tuesday.
"Israel totally rejects calls for an international inquiry into the incidents in the (Palestinian) territories, the spokesman said, without elaborating.
He did not mention the clashes in east Jerusalem, which Israel considers part of its territory, or in Israel proper, but Israel routinely rejects any interference by the international community in its internal affairs - JERUSALEM (AFP)
