ALBAWABA - Following being banned from participating in a defense exhibition in France, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz announced instructing initiating legal action against French President Emmanuel Macron.
Katz said in a statement on X: "I have instructed the foreign ministry to take legal and diplomatic action against the decision of [Macron] to prevent Israeli companies from showcasing their products at the @SalonEuronaval exhibition in Paris next month".
The French Euronaval ban is the latest in a string of diplomatic spats between President Emmanuel Macron and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as Israel's military intensifies its attacks in Gaza and Lebanon.
The decision was taken on October 16th and originally published by The Wall Street Journal. It is the second time in recent months that Israel's military industries have been blocked from attending an arms exhibition in France.
Back in June, Paris banned them from attending Eurosatory, one of the world's largest weapons shows for ground weaponry. A court eventually overruled the decision, but it was too late for the Israeli enterprises to arrive.
