Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the UN summit Tuesday not to trust Iran and that President Rouhani is looking to "rush" the production of a nuclear bomb in the Persian country before the international community is able to "detect it and much less prevent it," according to NBC news and AFP sources.
Netanyahu believes that Rouhani is still on track to obtain and develop nuclear weapons and the Israeli Prime Minister expressed skepticism of the Iranian President's openness to negotiations with the West on a nuclear deal, calling him a "wolf in sheep's clothing."
Netanyahu further vowed that "Israel will not allow Iran to get nuclear weapons," even if it means that the Jewish country will be "forced to stand alone" in this endeavor.
Netanyahu met with US President Barack Obama earlier this week urging him to maintain economic sanctions against Iran, despite the American president's recent call to Rouhani last Friday, the first time that the US has had direct dialogue with the Persian nation in 34 years.
