ALBAWABA - In a significant development, the Israeli occupation military declares the unearthing of what it claims to be Hamas's most extensive tunnel in Gaza, spanning a length of 4 kilometers and plunging to a depth of 50 meters, according to reports from Tel Aviv. This tunnel is purportedly located in the northern region of Gaza, mere meters away from the Erez crossing adjacent to settlements along the Gaza border.
The Israeli Occupation forces assert that the tunnel originates beneath the Jabalia refugee camp and stretches approximately four kilometers, reaching the northern Gaza border with Israel. Tel Aviv contends that this tunnel stands out as the largest subterranean passage linked to Hamas that has been exposed so far.
Despite its substantial dimensions, Israeli occupation mossad allegedly failed to pinpoint and target the tunnel for years. Israeli media characterizes this failure as a "setback for the intelligence apparatus." The tunnel is equipped with heavily armored doors installed by Hamas, suggesting preparedness for potential combat against the Israeli Occupation military.
Within this underground structure, there are extended living quarters designed to provide protection and house elite fighters from Hamas for several months. The tunnel descends to depths of about 50 meters underground and effectively conceals its entrances close to Israeli Occupation territory without detection.
Assessments indicate that Hamas had intended to employ this tunnel for a wide-ranging and lethal assault against the Israeli Occupation military.
