Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz disclosed Monday that the army is "doing its best" to locate nine deserter soldiers who are still in possession of their weapons. According to Haaretz, Mofaz said that hundreds of troops have deserted the Israeli army but only the nine still have their weapons.
Last week, an army deserter, who was close to radical Jewish groups, killed four Arab citizens in Shfaram.
Israeli security officials are concerned that the nine deserters may launch similar terror attacks against Arab citizens.
