Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak has convened an emergency cabinet meeting following Israel's military action against Palestinian targets Thursday, a government spokesman said.
The meeting started shortly after 5 p.m. (1500 GMT) in Jerusalem, more than an hour after Israeli helicopters launched air raids against Palestinian security and administration targets in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The raids were in response to the killing of two Israeli soldiers by a furious Palestinian crowd in the flashpoint West Bank town of Ramallah – JERUSALEM (AFP)
