ALBAWABA - The Israeli Occupation Forces announced launching a ground invasion in the Bureij Refugee Camp in Central Gaza, carrying out brutal airstrikes, and carpet bombing entire neighborhoods to the ground, with tens of martyrs reported and dozens of injuries.

Earlier, IOF said in a statement jets were hitting Hamas targets in central Gaza while ground forces were operating "in a focused manner with guidance from intelligence" in the al-Bureij area.

Multiple airstrikes targeted several homes across the camp, killing at least 15 people, with bodies and injuries being transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Doctors and nurses said that the hospital is overwhelmed with the number of injuries and martyrs arriving at the medical facility, They also added that they're facing a severe shortage of medical and medicine supplies.

"Doctors are running everywhere, searching for remaining medical supplies including antiseptics and anesthetics to perform urgent operations to save lives," AlJazeera reporter Hani Mahmoud said.

"We can still hear explosions of ongoing attacks and heavy machine-gun fire in the eastern area of central Gaza – including the densely populated Maghazi and Bureij camps," he added.

Israel is intensifying its attack in Rafah, southern Gaza, and has effectively shut off the supply of food, medicine, and other supplies to Palestinians suffering from acute famine. More than one million Palestinians have evacuated Rafah, largely to tent camps in central and southern Gaza.

Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 36,550+ people, with more than 82,959+ injuries.

Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
