ALBAWABA - According to the Hebrew broadcaster KAN, the Israeli army confirmed the storming of Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City in a military operation.

UPDATES

According to Al Jazeera, Israeli forces arrested Al Jazeera correspondent, Ismail al-Ghoul, from his workplace inside Al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza. Reports say that Ismail was subjected to brutal beating and dragging by Israeli occupation soldiers while being taken to an unknown location.

According to local sources, the Israeli forces have also targeted and destroyed broadcasting vehicles in the yard of the Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Israeli forces "are currently conducting a precise operation in the area of the Shifa hospital," according to a military statement.

Witnesses in Gaza City reported seeing tanks encircle the hospital location. In November, the Israeli army conducted an operation in Al-Shifa, which sparked an international outrage.

According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, tens of thousands of Palestinians who have been displaced due to the brutal Israeli aggression have sought shelter at the medical complex.

Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 31,600+ people, with more than 73,700+ injuries.

Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
